Going Against the Grain

No one wants to believe that they might be doing something, let alone a big thing, wrong for their health.

There are few things more precious than having the energy to do the things we love.

Feeling well enough to do them for a long time and having the resources to share them with those we care about most.

The one fundamental requirement to experience all of these is great health.

If it were only that simple…

Don’t you wish you could just take a pill and enjoy all the benefits of great health?

Without all the inconvenient, time-consuming, uncomfortable things you’re supposed to be doing?

You’re not alone.

Instead, you drag yourself out of bed to exercise,

choke down salads to “get your vegetables”,

and cut back on the things you love all in the name of healthy living.

How frustrating would it be to find out amidst all the good things you were trying to do, one thing could be derailing all your best efforts?

Here is one thing that you and many others are probably doing wrong for your health - start by changing this one thing and watch what happens!

GOING AGAINST THE GRAIN

Grain consumption has been a significant part of our fuel intake for the past many thousands of years and for that reason, it’s looked upon as a healthy food source.

Eating wheat, oats, and other grains is an accepted norm within most healthy eating circles.

HOWEVER...

There are many professionals and researchers, and the list is growing rapidly, who are also advising against grain consumption.

Their rationale is our lack of adaptability to grains, potential negative effects from gluten containing grains and the high sugar content associated with grain consumption.

While some of those reasons are valid, the most logical reason to keep grains out of your diet is...

...they are simply not a nutrient dense food.

Put another way – there are few nutrients in grains that we cannot get in greater quantities with less potential negative effects in other, better food choices.

With that information, why eat them at all?

Of course, they can taste great, especially processed into flour with eggs, butter, sugar and chocolate, but if you’re looking for one journey to start...

One that could make all your other health endeavors that much better.

Going against the grain is a wonderful place to get started.
